Every Wednesday we will be having an outdoor Ed class (this is instead of our usual outside gym class).
This month, we'll be learning a bit about Winter Survival. After last week's deep freeze, it's pretty obvious that living in Canada means being able to handle the cold.
Today we're taking a lesson from one of the 3 little pigs. Instead of building a house of snow, we're going to try a "hay-stack" igloo.
Check out how one of our own students spent his Saturday afternoon. Seems like Mathijs might be moving outside for the winter.
Activities:
Building an Igloo
This site let's you find out about how igloos are built. Take the interactive quiz and see how well you know this traditional Canadian Inuit shelter.
